STUDENTS CHALLENGE
A specific event for students and young profesionals
A students and young professionals challenge will be organised as part of the conference. Several topics representative of different SHM application areas will be proposed and published in November 2025. Teams of Master students, doctoral candidate or young researchers within 1 year after their Master/PhD diploma at the time of registration will be invited to present their innovative solutions during a special session where live demonstrations of their systems will be encouraged. The winners will be announced during the Gala Dinner.

Short Course on SHM
Course description (Monday July 6th)
A 12-hour blended short course designed to pose the structural health monitoring (SHM) in the context of a statistical pattern recognition paradigm to support the damage identification process and risk-informed integrity management. The remote part introduces the concept of SHM and accelerates the learning process, while the in-person part (Monday July 6th, EWSHM 2026 Conference Venue) focuses on bridging the gap between research and practical application.
