Call for papers

CALL FOR PAPERS

Authors or any other interested to present a communication during the 12th EWSHM, are invited to submit a paper online, by November 1st, 2025, a title, a summary of 500 words maximum and 1 image, explaining the content, objectives, methods and conclusions of the communication.

All selected contributions at EWSHM 2026, will be published on NDT.net (partner organisation), Open Access Archive of Nondestructive Testing ISSN 1435-4934 (www.ndt.net)

Timetable

  • Deadline for abstract submission: November 1st, 2025
  • Notification of abstracts acceptance: February 6th, 2026
  • Deadline for submission of full manuscript: April 1st, 2026

All abstracts must be submitted online at https://www.conftool.pro/ewshm2026/

Abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee.

Authors will be informed about the acceptance of their contributions in February 2026. Presenting authors with accepted contributions, should register via the online form and pay the registration fee prior to the event in order to validate their inclusion.

Special Sessions

Special sessions are welcome: please send an email before September 30th, 2025 to the conference organisers (ewshm2026@cofrend.com) with the following information:

  • Title of the special session
  • Name, affiliation and email of the special session chairs
  • 5-10 lines presentation of the session

The final inclusion of this session in the program is subjected to a minimal number of papers, and will decided by the scientific committee, based on the quality of papers and diversity of the contributors.

SHM in Action

To promote the application of SHM technologies, an “SHM in action” session will be organised where participants will be invited to demonstrate practical aspects of their SHM solution on stage.

12th EWSHM Students and young professionals Challenges

A Students and young professionals Challenges will be organised as part of the conference. Several topics representative of different SHM application areas will be proposed and published in November 2025. Teams of Master students, doctoral candidate or young researchers within 1 year after their Master/PhD diploma at the time of registration will be invited to present their innovative solutions during a special session where live demonstrations of their systems will be encouraged. The winners will be announced during the Gala Dinner.

  • Publication of challenges and data: November 2025
  • Registration of teams: January 2026

Full Papers will be referenced through an individual DOI number and published online as an open access publication on NDT.net. The proceedings will be available at the conference.
